Hi, I need to vent, so obviously I turn to my blog to do me the favor of listening to me rant about silly good for nothing annoying things. I know, I know. Everything in life is absolutely GREAT. No. I know I always say it is, but in reality, I'm just blindly optimistic, and I feel like that just leads me straight to disappointment. And nobody likes disappointment, right? I think that it's time for me to start seeing the more realistic side of life. And you know what? That makes me completely sick to my stomach. I don't want to see the bad in the world or in my life, but it's there, and there's only so long that you can go just ignoring those things. I think I now realize the reason I've been feeling so different and weird lately. I've started seeing the bad once again. I don't like the change that has been happening to me lately. I feel like the fact that I've been less optimistic lately has been changing me to be less conscious of the things I say to people. I have been more rude and haven't thought of other's feelings as much. And for some reason that affects me so much. I hate the fact that there may be people out there that have been hurt because of me. I only wish there was something I could do about it.
Anyways. This was supposed to be a rant. So. Here are a couple things I have been bothered by lately
People complaining about their life when they could be doing so much to help themselves by just changing their attitude. (I feel like I've been doing just this lately too, and that bothers me more than anyone will ever know.)
People who feel they need to critique every little thing anyone does. Please get over it and yourself, people are allowed to like things different from you.
Okay only two things. But guys, I'm sorry that I've been a complete bore and a rude child lately. I'm trying to change that.
xoxo Leah

An undying love for Christmas and Urban Outfitters
all I want for Christmas is Urban Outfitters. And maybe a Canon Rebel T3i. Too bad I'm not freaking rich.
frustrated
You know what the most annoying and frustrating feeling in the world is? Knowing how much there is out there to discover and how many adventures you have yet to go on but being bound by the ties of high school and age and money etc. It bothers me so very much. I mean, my life is great, it's absolutely fantastic. I know that once I grow up there's no going back to being a teenager and such, and that grieves me very much, but I'm ready for a change... I just can't wait to find what changes will come. And maybe I'm not ready yet, but I feel as if I am. I am so indecisive as to whether I want these teenage years to stay or to go. I've had the time of my life as a teenager, and I'm only 16, but I need a change. I need a new revelation or person or event in my life, but I know it's not gonna happen soon, so for now I'll be fine with being a teen. I'll make it last. It'll be a blast. And then I'll have my adventure.
yes, I irish dance
Last week was Oireachtas (oh-rock-tus), aka irish dance regional championships! I did solos and teams and needless to say it was one of the funnest weekends! My 16 hand got fourth place, and I am so proud, we have been working very hard, and dealing with some very dramatic and very bossy teenage girls (just so you know, being 17 doesn't make you know everything, don't know why you'd think that). All the hard work and annoyances were well worth it in the end, and I'm so very happy that I was a part of this team. Here are some wonderful pictures.
a little late
You know how in my last post I said something about how I felt like I should be writing some preachy post about thanksgiving? Wellllllll... Here it is. Kind of. Hopefully not too preachy, just want to express how grateful I am about absolutely everything.
You see, I just see some people who don't necessarily complain (and if they were to complain, they would have a right to) but don't realize the beauty of the bad things in their life. Now, I think we could all go on and on about the wonderful things in our lives that we're grateful for, and I mean for hours, but I think that would be a little too simple. How about thinking about the not-so-great things that we're grateful for? I know it might sound silly to be grateful for family issues, sicknesses, deaths, and other personal problems, but personally those things are what I am most grateful for. Who would I be today without those trials? I would be nothing. Really though, nothing. When you think about it that way, I promise you life will be so much happier.
I know it's past Thanksgiving already, but really, think about these things! I'm grateful for divorced parents because I've learned how important family and love is to me. I know that I won't marry someone until I know them inside and out. It's hard, but in the end, worth it.
I could go on and on about this but for once I don't think I will. Thank you all who are reading this for being in my life! Even if I don't know you well, you are important to me somehow. Thank you.
Happy holidays, everyone!

writer's block
I've had some major writer's block lately. I've also been lacking in the inspiration department. I don't know what's wrong. I just want to do something cool. I want to do something that I've never done before. I think I'll learn to rollerskate like a pro, then maybe skate around Pleasant Grove all day.
You know what song I really love? Here We Are by Patrick Park. "We can't see past our own sad stories and wonder what we're missin" kind of sounds like an old blog post of mine... de ja vu?
Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I wrote a teensy list of things I'm thankful for. Yeah. I feel like I should be writing some huge post about being grateful, but I haven't felt preachy enough for that lately, a good break for all my readers, I suppose.
Just so you all know, I keep telling myself I don't care about having a boyfriend and then I think about the Christmas lights at Temple Square and hot chocolate and I'm like dang. I need a boy. So when do I get my acceptance to the whiney girl club?? Today?? Tomorrow? Better be soon because I need to listen to Ron Pope and feel sorry for myself. HA NOT.
I actually really don't mind not having a holiday boyfriend that much, I'm just being silly. Just thought I'd let you in on that big secret.
This post is a mess, but for once I don't really care. I feel weird tonight. I've felt kind of weird lately. It's... weird. It's not good or bad. I'm just kind of hanging on the mighty cliff of whatever. Hm. Nice way to describe it? Not really. I can't describe it. Bummer.
I really love music, guys. Pretty sure it's what gets me through everything. Like school. Wow does school suck. I'm so tired of it. The stress is overwhelming and I don't feel okay with it. CURSE YOU STRESS AND ALL YOUR LITTLE MINIONS (it's minions being school, dance competitions, parents, etc.).
I haven't been taking any good pictures lately so that sucks.
This seems like a really depressing post. Well I'm not depressed if that's what you're thinking. In fact I am really happy. I have absolutely nothing to complain about, but I guess it's just human nature to complain about nothing.
I dislike human nature. I would like to start a war against human nature.
